0 This Seven year old....

No comments:
Forget throw back Thursday today is Friday & I find myself reminiscing about my little guy. I found these pictures from last summer and couldn't help but get all emotional. Maybe its all these pregnancy hormones going on.... I can't believe how much he has grown over the year. He's a little taller, has a few more missing teeth & has matured just a tiny bit. He isn't so much into sitting for hours and playing with his toy cars or legos. His new thing is minecraft and I hate it. I've noticed that he hardly asks "can you play with me" & I hate that. I noticed that he's become a little more independent... & I hate that! I noticed he had band-aids on little scraps that I knew nothing about. Since when does he take it upon himself to put on his own band-aid?  I really dislike that! I know that he will continue to grow into the wonderful young man that he is becoming, but geesh can't time just slow down a tad? I'm learning that you have to make sure you stop & enjoy every little moment. Even if it's having to clean up an orange juice spill AFTER I told him that I would pour it.....

Happy Friday! Hope you all enjoy the little moments & have a wonderful Weekend!!

2 So long confetti eggs....

2 comments:

It was a weekend full of soft bunnies, baby chicks & geese! We also had some issues... one very dirty house... a failed attempt at making a pretty Easter cake.... & confetti that just keeps showing up everywhere.
It was one eventful Easter thats for sure. I'm still trying to get over the fact the I probably deserve the "worst mom" award.  This little soon to be two year old tried some candy & is now addicted...  Seriously I've never seen someone feenin' for something in my life!
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter =D

Current love note up in the bathroom...

Coming from an all girl family to marrying the manliest man I know, then adding two little mini men can get a bit overwhelming. I can be a bit of a girly girl.... but oh how I've learned to outgrow that.  Don't get me wrong I love being the one that you're suppose to help, the one that you should take care of, the one that you should always respect, the one you protect, the one that is allowed to be a little over dramatic & way too sensitive. This comes from having a great man who is bringing up his little men to be just like him one day. But come on!!!!  Sometimes I just need to enjoy a warm shower without  someone turning the lights off on me & giggling off down the hall, or tampons getting discovered under the sink and getting asked what does this do? I can do without getting farted on the head during a wrestling match. Oh & my favorite which is having to repeat myself over.... & over..... & over....... to put the seat up, or make sure you put the seat back down & for freak'n crying out loud.....  AIM FOR THE HOLE!!! These are just a few of things going on in my life. Interesting huh?

4 "That" Mom

4 comments:

While I sit here in my comfy socks patiently waiting for the cooler weather....Hopefully it will show up sometime soon... I just realized I'm that mom.. the mom that sometimes feeds my child cereal before school.. the mom that sometimes cooks makes sandwiches for dinner.. I'm the mom that lets my nature loving baby play in the mud & of course walk around barefoot since he refuses to keep shoes on. I might give in sometimes and allow candy before dinner....I'm the mom that tries so hard to be that "perfect" mom...I just realized I'm so far from it. Maybe I just need to stop tearing myself apart... I mean come on.. there really isn't a "Perfect Mommy" award out there..is there? Instead I choose to continue to be the mommy I am. I work hard as a mommy and I guess I will continue to do what I do. My boys are pretty awesome...And who  doesn't love cereal for breakfast? For all you moms out there.. there is no such thing as a perfect mom. We all have our little flaws & that makes us  unique.. What is perfect anyways? All I know is my little guys think I'm pretty darn wonderful & that is all that matters.

2 Hello November...

2 comments:

This year our traditional pumpkin carving was a bit emotional. Our seven year old was thrilled to find out that this year we were allowing him to take on pumpkin carving all on his own. Someone thinks he is almost grown & does not need any help lately. Nope, no traced on design here! Freehand is what it was all about. As he carved piece by piece we heard "awesome did you see that" ...he took pride in that pumpkin carving. Little brother decided to  help out  fight Boots (our puppy) for pieces of pumpkin. I think they had a game going on with who can sneakingly eat the most pumpkin. Baby VS Dog & I believe baby came out the winner! It's been a busy week with halloween festivities...a special 7 year old running for student council... literacy pumpkins being made for school... & the most exciting Phillip made the swim team he's been trying to get on for so long! I'm one proud mommy with maybe too much on her plate, but it is so worth every minute of their happiness. Here is to a great November & embracing all things to be thankful for. Hope all you friends had a safe & fun halloween.

2 Another Bike Rodeo...

2 comments:

Yesterday was my little guys First Grade Bike Rodeo. He has been preparing himself for this all week! We waited patiently for him to come show off his moves. He jumped on that bike & took off. I went snapping away.... I wanted to capture every little moment... his moment. As his friends cheered for him he thought he might show off a little by standing up and peddling a little harder. Geesh, this kid! He was so proud of himself and I couldn't stand the expression on his face when it was all over with. My heart wanted to burst with excitement for him. I'm one proud mommy of a hard working little seven year old.  I love you bub & you did a wonderful job!

4 Baby learns to Walk

4 comments:

My little guy is walking! He is going just about everywhere his little legs take him. He may wibble and wobble there, but he gets there. With his entire heart into it he leaves no room for giving up. I love how his little face lights up when he gets to where he is going. It is official... he rather try walking everywhere..Forget crawling! I have been dreading this moment... the moment where he proves he will continue to grow..and grow..and grow. I hate how fast it is flying by, but I'm so thankful to share every minute with him. I love being able to watch him grow & thank God for such a joyful healthy baby.
